Well, Miriam.....I see you have abandoned your plan. Because it's such difficult thing to do, I attended a Healthy Weight Management Workshop, learning the techniques of how to keep from suffering while slowly building healthy habits. It doesn't bring quick loss, but does bring slow, permanent changes. Extra weight is a reflection of one's life-style. Simply depriving oneself doesn't do it. I also like the coaching idea, and wish I had someone who would give me weekly encouragement. First, I would have to see how she had changed HER own habits, though! And, here I am, I have not yet begun on myself.
